Brief Summary of Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • District Sales Manager will focus efforts on energy cable specifications and sales for  High Voltage projects in the C & I, OEM(traditional Draka/Oil & Gas/Solar) and Substation Markets
  • Provide innovative solutions to our customer’s cable and application needs - profitable solutions
  • Will work to maintain and build relationships primarily with end user through a rep and distributor network but also with some key direct customers
  • Maintain existing accounts (Key Accounts) while working with current network of Agents and Distributor Partners where applicable. Develop other sales channels as needed within the sub-markets working with the Regional Sales Manager and Market Manager to achieve the sales and contribution margin goals set for the annual period
  • Provide feedback to the company trends in the market that could impact business
  • Actively seek out information relating to competitor products and activity in the market place
  • Responsible for the margin management and price agreements within the District – generating sustained profits to the Business Unit
  • Provide on-site product demonstrations, presentations and customer training when required, including for the NWC Market, Testing Services and Asset Monitoring
  • Provide support and guidance to the back office, along with other functions of the company to ensure total customer loyalty
  • Meet or exceed all established goals for the District/Markets as well as personal established targets and goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager
  • Attend trade shows as directed/needed relevant to the business
  • Participate in industry associations as directed/ needed to the business
  • Assist Regional Sales Manager with forecasts on upcoming business activity, stock sales, and management plan budget


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred


  • 2-5+ years of cable experience and customer involvement
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of field applications
  • Proven sales track record within the energy field
  • 2-3+ nights per week travel
  • Knowledge of how to build and maintain a book of business
  • Clear understanding of C&I—OEM – Utility Markets



  • Self-starter, ambitious & customer focused
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Desire to work with and grow in a global company
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to display time management skills
  • Ability to work across all company disciplines to bring solutions (sales, finance, manufacturing, etc.)

  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to travel internationally as required
