Sales Specialist/ Project Lead

JOB SUMMARY

 

We are looking for an experienced "SALES SPECIALIST/ PROJECT LEAD” to help us shape the future. Based in Delft, Netherlands, as SALES SPECIALIST/ PROJECT LEAD, the focus is on the commercial process, coordination of customer orders and delivery, planning support for the customer and the internal organisation. You will build and maintain the network of contractors and related companies and also make new, promising contacts. You do this by taking care of product guidance, sales, issuing sales prices and conditions, administratively processing orders and actively planning material deliveries. Visiting the customer is part of the job. Internally, you work together with various departments including Sales, Product Management and Logistics, whilst being a part of our world class “Sell It” career program.

 

What is the SELL IT Program? 

Sell It is a structured program, of up to three years, designed to help new sales employees quickly get up-to-speed on the business, products, and culture of the Prysmian Group, while learning how to apply their skills to the business from day one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compiling customer and project information through customer contacts and translating this into the product portfolio and delivery agreements in cooperation with the departments involved.
  • Coordinating material deliveries and being the first point of contact from and to the customer.
  • Analysing the customer's service needs and communicating these to service and technical departments.
  • Assessing customer requests, technical evaluation of possible offers in consultation with Technical Sales Support.
  • Making the request fit within the portfolio, consultation with Engineering if not present within our own portfolio, or outsourcing within the group.
  • Elaborating an offer, translation into calculation, coordination with Business Manager about price determination, coordination of stock management with Logistics about delivery times and capacity planning.
  • Presenting an offer to the customer, follow up of the offer with Purchasing and Engineering.
  • As soon as the quotation becomes an order: transfer to Inside Sales and coordination with logistics.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge and expertise of the products and applications to support the customer and the sales organisation in all steps in the sales process.
  • Interpreting the customer's needs and translating these into a solution.
  • Building up and maintaining the internal work with the involved departments.

 

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR  

We are looking for a SALES SPECIALIST/ PROJECT LEAD, who is passionate about a sales career in a world leading Group. We are looking for the following skills and motivations:
 

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

  • At least an Intermediate Vocational Education diploma in a commercial or technical field;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a production and/or project environment;
  • Technical affinity; experience with selling technical products;
  • Extensive experience with and knowledge of SAP;
  • Knowledge of project management and process improvement;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Excellent commercial, presentation and communication skills.
