This position will report to the Commodity Manager of Accessories and will be based in Highland Heights, KY with requirement to travel to other locations as required. This is a highly demanding customer service oriented position responsible for managing all assigned accessories related purchasing activities from central location at HQ.  


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Provide purchasing support to sales/customer service/logistics on day to accessories requirement which includes RFQ, Price Negotiation, PR to PO, alternative sourcing
  • Ensure year-to-year, bottom-line material and product cost improvements for assigned spend category/sub-category
  • Support cross-functional efforts to reduce costs, standardize and adapt to new process & technologies and look for synergies
  • Assist Commodity Manager as required and maintain good liaison with other team members to extend/seek support as required.
  • Perform tasks for assigned materials/vendors (Remote):
    • Develp and maintain relationship with suppliers/subcontractors
    • Identify and qualify new suppliers (including subcntractors)
    • Negtiate prices and terms (payment and delivery terms)
    • Create and submit supplier bids/qutes and evaluate pricing to deliver the best overall value to the company
    • Maintain master data in SAP
      • vendor information,
      • material information
      • prices
    • Create purchase rders
      • Negotiate quantity and delivery time
      • Send PO to supplier
      • Secure acknowledgement from supplier
      • Track/expedite delivery (change dates in SAP as required) – domestic and imported materials
      • Review open order reports and follow-up when required
      • Maintain/file records
    • Wrk with AP to resolve invoice discrepancies
    • Wrk with Sales / Engineering Production to implement new materials
    • Wrk with Quality group and supplier to resolve quality issues / return materials
    • Perfrm vendor review and provide feedback to vendor
    • Write purchasing agreements/cntracts as required



Key Skills and Attributes


  • Energetic, motivated and possess strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Excellent problem solving  and category management skills
  • A wide degree of creativity is expected
  • Associated/Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Engineering is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Professional certification (such as C.P.M., CPSM, CPIM) a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry is a must
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis in SAP, Excel and Office tools
  • 30% travel
