Team Overview and Job Responsibilities


In this position, you will report to the Production Manager, developing and implementing plans that execute the daily production schedule. 


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Hold the organization accountable for hitting daily goals and upholding quality/ operational standards
  • Use SAP and plant capacity models to determine staffing and work schedule requirements
  • Initiate and participate in plant continuous improvement projects  
  • Lead point of contact for industrial relations issues and business communication.
  • Improve the technical and decision making capabilities of the Associates
  • Use plant data analysis tools for performance metric tracking, reporting, and problem solving.  
  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly presentations on plant metrics and project status.
  • Conduct plant appearance and safety audits and improvements.
  • Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems
  • Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management 
  • Major KPIs are: Safety rating, on time delivery, output, labor efficiency, material efficiency, customer complaints, internal audits, process quality, and housekeeping.
  • Manage value stream operations while overseeing approximately 80 associates.



Who are we looking for? 


  • Lean manufacturing Training
  • Formal quality improvement training ( i.e.: 6 Sigma, Kaizen, Kepner Tregoe)
  • 5 years of management experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with less than 15% CM%.
  • Quality and customer focused.
  • Motivated, high energy team Player – participate and contribute to a constructive working environment with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate administrative aptitude, time management and ability to multi-task and able to “Make It Happen”.
  • Capable of remaining calm & professional if dealing with stressful circumstances.
  • Able to work a variety of work schedules, including holiday and weekend emergency coverage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a “hands on” style of manager with a high % floor interaction.
  • Able to motivate, hire, train, hold accountable, and support a diverse workforce  



  • BS Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial preferred
