The Role

We need an experienced Electrical Engineer for new plant installation / upgrading projects and maintenance / production support.

As an electrical engineer, you will perform electrical design, estimating, generate enquires and producing tender specifications, generate technical and installation specifications, support electrical installation activities, commissioning activities, fault-finding activities, provide advice, help to manage projects and improve the manufacturing efficiencies / capabilities. You will work as a part of multidisciplinary team based at our Liverpool facility to install significant equipment and introduce strategies for safety and process improvements.

 

Who we are looking for:

An experienced Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing, you will have demonstrated skills and knowledge power systems, automation and control systems, and instruments and gauges. You will also be skilled in problem solving and reliability improvement, as well as project and safety management.

You will also possess the following:

  • a degree qualification in electrical engineering;
  • experience with Automation systems, including programming of PLC’s (Siemens and Allen Bradley), HMI’s, DCS & SCADA systems (i.e. WinCC, Ifix and Wonderware);
  • Understanding of Mechanical and electrical drawings
  • experience with variable speed drives (AC & DC) and closed-loop control systems
  • experience with low voltage (415Vac) distribution systems and motor control
  • experience in workplace health and safety and quality management systems
  • strong technical and analytical capability, problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
  • working knowledge Solid-works and/ or AutoCAD Electrical would be a plus
  • a track record of facilitating engineering design, tender, supply, construction and commissioning is also desirable
  • Lean Manufacturing, SAP, experience a plus
  • knowledge of Australian standards AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS 4024.1 and AS 62061 is a plus
