Team Overview and Job responsibilities

We are looking for a R&D Technical School Engineer for our HQ based in Milan.

The candidate will be part of the R&D Projects, Technical School and Service department and will oversee training of the 525 Kv HV dc cables jointers. He/her will manage courses planning and arrange the logistics of the necessary items such as accessories, cables, technical trainers and laboratories.

The ideal candidate will cooperate with the Training Technical School and Services to ensure the correct training activities and the availability of necessary materials in the HQ R&D laboratory located in Milan but also in the laboratories of the affiliates. He/her will ensure the correct assembly of the HVDC 525 kV accessories in the laboratories for qualification e prequalification of the German corridor projects by the verification of Jointers’ works and the respect of the approved procedures.  He/her will ensure the required quality of the work on German Corridor sites by organizing periodical visits to verify the correct application of the approved procedure.

 

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an R&D Technical School Engineer with the following skills and competencies:

  • From 2 to 4 years in a similar role within a multinational company with a complex organization;
  • A master’s degree in Electric, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Outstanding communication skills;
  • Excellent negotiation ability;
  • Flexible and adaptable;
  • Very good problem-solving skills;
  • Proactive and accurate;
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken;
  • Good knowledge of German will be considered a plus;
  • Available to travel;
