The Role

This position is responsible for establishing coordinating sales for a geographic region by establishing key sales partnerships, managing Representative Agencies and Distributors in attaining their sales targets and growing the General Cable business within each account

Specific Job Duties:

  • Establish and maintain an ethical and professional relationship with all clients and external contacts.
  • Develop new opportunities within all client classifications, through appropriate management of distributors and representatives.
  • Develop and maintain client programs, suggested pricing levels, co-op advertising programs.
  • Coordinate product training schedules with our clients.
  • Close coordination with product managers, including pricing decisions, product introduction, and inventory decisions.
  • Coordinate client needs with the appropriate internal departments, such as credit, manufacturing, engineering, etc.
  • Participate in regional trade shows (coordinate and set-up)
  • Coordinate client discrepancies and returns with credit
  • Work with the Business Teams to assist in the forecasting and selling of all products within the marketplace
  • Generate market intelligence
  • Develop operational plans and strategic plans
  • Fully communicate and coordinate our client’s needs and concerns
  • Manage product mix and gross margin analysis
  • Develop programs to identify market segments and preferred account base

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline
  • Experience in electrical distribution-wire cable preferred
  • Valid driver’s license


  • 5 years sales experience preferably in the electrical marketplace or with distributors
  • Knowledge of product/industry
  • Supervisory experience
