Sales Manager HV Cable Systems (d/f/m)

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager HV Cable (d/f/m) to help us shape the future.

Based in Wuppertal, you will be responsible for

  • Identifying and developing business opportunities for HV land cable systems within the defined market(s) with the aim of achieving and/or exceeding defined sales targets
  • Proactively leading and participating in tender preparations; participating in contract negotiations with clients
  • Implementing defined sales strategies to achieve profitable business, developing solid relationships with market players and to identifying new revenue streams
  • Attaining detailed knowledge of the defined market(s), its characteristics and trends, the relevant clients, competitors, and other market players
  • Developing and retaining close and long-term client relationships, providing on-going support to client to ensure they receive high quality customer service.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR  

We are looking for a Sales Manager (d/f/m) who is eager to succeed and capable of moving in a heterogeneous market with resilience and a customer-oriented approach.  We are looking for the following skills, motivations and qualifications: 

 

Skills/Motivations

  • Strong business development attitude with experience “in the field” to develop and care for existing and new customer accounts
  • Good communications/marketing skills (front line interface with customers and third parties, comfortable to speak publicly e.g. presentations at seminars, exhibitions, conferences etc.)
  • Problem solving and target oriented mentality
  • Interest to quickly learn and take responsibility
  • Ability to interact with full organization hierarchy of clients & contractors
  • Comfortable with all levels up to and including senior management (to CEO level)
  • Experience/attitude in dealing with complex and high value bids and involve internal and external stakeholders from different functions within the Group.
  • Comfortable to discuss at least first level engineering issues with Clients
  • Pragmatism – capability to set and to handle pragmatically the priorities
  • Responsible solving customer complaints, taking appropriate actions to ensure customer retention
  • Team-oriented, able to share competences, network, ideas, and information with the rest of the team
  • Basic understanding of legal implications in public sector dealings
  • Problem-solving expertise

 

 

Qualifications

Essential:

  • 3-7 years’ experience as a Sales Manager within industry related projects across a range of sectors and customers
  • Alternatively, technical background with a clear commercial mindset

Desired/preferred):

  • Cable industry experience
  • Large infrastructure projects sales experience
